My story—and the story of Radical Outreach—began the moment I fully surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. When I gave Him not only my faith but my entire life, everything changed. As I sought Him more deeply, God began opening my eyes to the suffering of Christians around the world. I heard stories of ordinary believers, pastors, missionaries, and families who stood strong in their faith even as they faced persecution, imprisonment, threats, or death.

Their courage humbled me.
Their endurance inspired me.
Their faith awakened something deep inside my heart.

God planted in me a profound love and respect for these persecuted believers. I longed for my own life to reflect the same steadfast devotion—to stand for Jesus no matter the cost. Over time, this longing grew into a calling: a desire not only to admire their faith but to support them in practical, life-giving ways.

That calling eventually became Radical Outreach.

By God’s grace, He opened the door for us to build a ministry dedicated to strengthening persecuted Christians and uplifting families trapped in poverty, injustice, and exploitation. What began as a quiet stirring has become a global mission reaching some of the most vulnerable communities in the world.

My husband, David Detweiler, has been my partner in every step of this journey. David is a gifted entrepreneur with a God-given ability to build and launch new ventures. Meanwhile, God shaped my own heart during my years as a stay-at-home mother—raising our five children, nurturing them with love, prayer, and presence. Today, we are blessed with 41 years of marriage, five children, and eleven grandchildren.

Now, in this season, God has allowed me to become a spiritual mother to many—guiding, encouraging, and praying for believers and communities whom He has placed on our hearts.

Radical Outreach exists to serve persecuted and suffering families—those who endure danger because of their faith and those trapped in deep cycles of poverty and exploitation. Through our trusted partners around the world, we help:

• Support families facing persecution
   
• Rescue and restore families enslaved in brick-kiln labor
   
• Strengthen schools and provide education for children
   
• Equip small businesses and livelihood programs
   
• Support relief organizations during crisis
   
• Develop sewing centers and skills training
   
• Provide computer training and vocational pathways
   
• Champion women’s and children’s programs
   
• Empower entire communities toward sustainable living
   

Our work is both spiritual and practical—meeting urgent needs while strengthening faith and restoring hope.

A Vision God Keeps Expanding

As David and I continued walking with God, He broadened our calling beyond anything we imagined. While our hearts remain deeply committed to persecuted believers, the Lord also burdened us to help their communities not only survive—but flourish.

Through prayer, faith, and trusted partnerships, God opened opportunities for Radical Outreach to serve across several Asian countries, where we support local believers with both spiritual encouragement and practical assistance. Our desire is to help them stand strong in their faith and become self-sufficient, even in difficult and hostile environments.

God also began stirring our hearts for several African nations. There, we are developing sustainable living projects that empower families to support themselves through:

• Farming and agriculture
   
• Raising livestock
   
• Small-scale agricultural businesses
   

These initiatives don’t just provide food or income—they restore dignity, stability, and the opportunity to share the love of Christ in tangible, compassionate ways.

To encourage, equip, and empower persecuted believers and suffering communities—helping them grow in faith, strength, and sustainable living, all for the glory of God.

We believe every act of compassion, every family freed, every child educated, every believer strengthened, and every community uplifted brings light into places of deep suffering.

And through it all, our prayer remains simple:

“Lord, let Your love be seen. Let Your people be strengthened. Let Your glory be known.”
